Business Analyst

Responsibilities
-
Use data creatively to solve problems effectively and assist collaboratively with high-level decision making
-
Engage at all stages of processing information, performing analysis, and delivering actionable results in accordance with client requests

Support project management and documentation related tasks
-
Perform data analysis and draw accurate inferences, in accord with the objectives of the analysis
-
Gather data required to conduct analysis from several sources, compile it together in prescribed format using data analysis software
-
Conduct ad hoc analytics including predictive modeling.
-
Create and present analyses of complex data projects explaining trends.
-
Effectively complete analytical projects by coordinating all stages of the development life cycle.
-
Work closely with subject matter experts in planning and developing analytical methods for data collection, data variables, storage, analysis, statistics and presentations.
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Public Health, Business Administration, Mathematics, or any business-related or technical field
-
MPH preferred
Compensation
This is a full-time salaried position with benefits including healthcare, 401K, bonus, profit sharing and a generous Paid Time Off program. Salary is commensurate with experience. The candidate will be located in the Northeast region.

Perform analyses of various data sets and draw conclusions in accordance with the objectives of the project

Data gathering and synthesis to create data sets ready for analysis.

Create analytical reports using tools such as SQL, SAS and Excel.

Evaluate various business problems and design data-oriented solutions

Determine the methodologies and procedures for carrying out effective data analysis

Develop and implement plans to measure and report on health care delivery cost, utilization, and trends

Effectively support analytical projects by participating in and coordinating all stages of the development life cycle.

Work closely with subject matter experts in planning and developing analytical methods for data collection, maintenance, and analysis.
